Herz began his career in New York with Curtis & Davis one the country’s leading institutional and library design firms. He was invited to join the faculty at the University of Tennessee, School of Architecture as Associate Professor of Architectural Design where he taught from 1970-1995. Herz joined ACHW in 1974 as V.P. Director of Architecture. He graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Columbia University; and has a Masters of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He is registered in the states of Tennessee, Florida, Virginia and Georgia.
